Victoria is a young entrepreneur who has chosen to upcycle top-of-the-range fabrics to make accessories in all colours!
My name is Victoria, I’m 29, and I’m passionate about fashion accessories and colour!
I created Chou² in 2022, with the brand’s first accessory: the scrunchie (chouchou in French)! I have quite voluminous curly hair, so I wear scrunchies every day. I wanted to offer trendy, colourful scrunchies that were also eco-friendly and more durable with good quality elastic. It’s an accessory that lends itself perfectly to upcycling, because you only need a small strip of fabric to make a scrunchie. So I sewed my first scrunchies, and then I started working with a back-to-work organisation in Lyon. The following spring, I launched my bumbag, which was a hit!

Chou² is an eco-friendly brand, with a strong commitment to helping women integrate into the workforce.
The fabrics are upcycled from major fashion houses: all fashion brands have off-cuts, defective fabrics and the ends of collection rolls. It’s this wealth of exceptional fabrics that I’m reclaiming: silk satins, velvets, organzas, and more.
What made you decide to become an entrepreneur?
An encounter! At a trade fair, I met a young entrepreneur who looked very much like me physically. She had created a brand of handbags. I said to myself: why not me?
Colour! Wearing a candy pink scarf can get my day off to a good start. And I often play the piano to clear my head.
I’m very inspired by the little details of everyday life and nature: a pretty flower, the sea, the colour of fallen leaves… It’s simple but highly effective! The miraculous in the common, to quote Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Developing a cap design! A statement accessory in 3 colours…
