MAISON 123 UNVEILS AN ARTISTIC COLLABORATION WITH A LIFESTYLE COLLECTION

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH MAISON 123?

H: Experimenting with the creation of a collection of accessories including silk scarves and squares was a dream, a dream that came true for me with Maison 123. The spirit of the people with whom I had the opportunity to collaborate proved to be a source of inspiration in the realization of these different works destined to rub shoulders with a few new media, which I had to consider fully at the time of realization.

WHAT WAS YOUR ARTISTIC APPROACH TO THIS PROJECT?

H: I emphasized the almost choreographic fluidity of these teams. Driven by the desire to bring out a certain aestheticism in this adventure, in keeping with my work as a visual artist, I began this journey by wishing to talk about fabric and material with an initial drawing, complex at first glance, but graphic and balanced. A drawing whose reading seems to me to evoke the softness we can feel when wrapping a scarf around our neck. These more aerial, musical movements evoke impressions of the imperceptible that binds us together, like an essential element of balance, like the wind, an invitation to think. It was a great joy to be able to admire these materialized ideas, and to realize that the freedom they afforded me had enabled me to share a vision through a new prism.

Thank you very much

WHY THIS COLLABORATION?

S: Experimenting with the creation of a collection of accessories including silk scarves and squares was a dream, a dream that came true for me with Maison 123. The spirit of the people with whom I had the opportunity to collaborate proved to be a source of inspiration in the realization of these different works destined to rub shoulders with a few new media, which I had to consider fully at the time of realization.

WHY HARRISON PRIGNET?

S: Above all, it was a wonderful encounter, a real human crush. A complicity was born, trust was established and the desire to work together became obvious. He embodies human values that are dear to me, and I immediately liked his strong, modern, graphic and moving artistic identity. It tells us something very important about emotions: the ones we feel before we see them, before we tame them, before we accept them. She speaks to us of the weft of fabric, the weft of life, she is delicate and has something universal about her. Her work is like a language through gesture, like words painted to tell a story with a particular calligraphy. Her approach penetrates matter with its strengths and fragilities, black and white. The materials used – Indian ink and charcoal – accentuate this authenticity, this return to the sources, to the essential. This purity of gesture blended perfectly with what we wanted to convey in our A/H24 collection: elegance, lightness and beauty.
